We can arrange a regular garden maintenance contract for you visiting the site on a monthly or fortnightly basis to care for and maintain your garden.

Muddy Wellies Gardens can visit your garden on a regular basis to carry out the garden tasks that are required to ensure a healthy and beautiful garden. Our team of qualified gardeners are on hand to carry out garden tasks in the correct way at the right time of year to give you the best results from your garden.

Domestic Gardens

Initially your garden may require some clearance and renovation work to get it back in to shape, to create definition and form and often making the garden more user friendly. Once this initial work is done we can then discuss a regular maintenance program to maintain your garden and to keep it looking at its best.

Mulching

A beautiful garden is a healthy garden and a healthy garden starts with healthy soil. This is why we recommend mulching. 

Some of the benefits of mulch include:

  • Aesthetics: the dark rich mulch contrasts with plants and shrubs highlighting their colours and making them appear instantly more vibrant.
  • Weed control: mulch is fantastic at keeping the weeding to a minimum, it won't stop all the weeds but it certainly helps to keep them under control leaving more time for other jobs.
  • Garden health: the correct mulch is wonderful for the soil structure of a garden. It increases the organic matter in the soil meaning that the soil is more drought tolerant over the summer and less likely to become water-logged over the winter. It can also provide nutrients for your plants and shrubs and beneficial bacteria, fungi and microbes for the soil.
  • Frost protection: is provided by mulch, keeping plant roots warm and snug under a thick blanket of mulch will increase their chances of surviving a cold winter.
