Landscape Gardeners for Cornwall
We carry out landscaping work across Cornwall, with a particular focus on Truro, Helston, Penzance, Falmouth The Lizard , St Ives, Hayle, Newquay, Fowey, Padstow, St Mawes and the Roseland and Redruth and the surrounding villages.
As a local business, we understand the different styles of gardens and properties found across the county, from compact town gardens to larger rural spaces and coastal gardens that need careful planting and practical materials.
Our aim is always to create gardens that are not only attractive, but also suited to the property, the setting and the needs of the client.
What we build
Our landscaping team handles all aspects of garden landscaping — the heavy work, the skilled trades and the finishing details.
Here is what a typical project might include:
Patios & Paving
We lay patios in a range of materials including natural stone, porcelain, granite setts, slate and block paving. Getting the groundwork right is everything — we excavate properly, lay a solid sub-base, and ensure correct falls for drainage. The result is a patio that stays level, drains cleanly, and looks as good in ten years as it does on day one.
Terracing & Retaining Walls
Sloping gardens are common across Cornwall, and we have considerable experience transforming them into usable, attractive outdoor spaces. We build retaining walls in stone, block, brick and timber sleepers, and create level terraces that open up a garden completely. This is technically demanding work — done properly, it dramatically increases the usable space and value of a property.
Decking
Timber and composite decking can transform an awkward or sloping plot into a practical outdoor living space. We build decks that are properly supported, well-ventilated to prevent rot, and finished to a high standard. We work with hardwood, treated softwood and low-maintenance composite materials depending on the client's priorities.
Water Features & Ponds
We design and build ponds, streams, rills and other water features as part of a wider landscaping scheme. From a simple wildlife pond to a formal rill or naturalistic stream, water adds movement, sound and biodiversity to a garden and we have a number of completed projects to show.
Garden Lighting
Garden lighting can enhance both the appearance and usability of your outdoor space. From lighting paths and steps to highlighting planting, patios and key garden features, well-planned garden lighting helps create a welcoming garden that can be enjoyed into the evening as well as during the day.
Driveways & Entrances
A driveway or entrance is often the first part of a property people see, so it should feel well considered and in keeping with the wider landscape. We design and build driveways and entrance areas as part of an overall landscaping project, creating spaces that are practical, welcoming and visually connected to the house and garden.
Steps & Paths
From simple stepping stone paths to substantial granite or stone stairways, we build steps and paths that feel natural in the landscape and are safe underfoot in all weathers. We have completed numerous projects involving significant changes in level — it is an area where craft and experience really show.
Walling — Cornish Hedging, Dry Stone & Block
We have strong experience with the walling styles specific to Cornwall — including traditional Cornish hedging and dry stone walling. These are specialist skills, and getting them right matters both aesthetically and structurally. We also build mortared stone walls, brick walls and block retaining walls, and carry out restoration work on existing structures.
Turfing & Lawn Creation
A good lawn starts with good preparation. We rotavate, level, improve the soil structure, and lay turf or seed to create a lawn that establishes well and stays in good condition. We also carry out lawn renovation work — regrading, overseeding and drainage improvements for established lawns that have deteriorated over time.
Fencing, Trellis & Pergolas
Boundaries, screening and garden structures are an important part of any landscaping project. We install timber fencing and trellis panels, build bespoke pergolas and arched structures, and work with gates and ironmongery to complete the picture.
Planting & Soft Landscaping
Planting is what brings a garden to life, adding colour, texture, structure and seasonal interest. We create planting schemes that suit the space, soil and setting, from borders and feature beds to full soft landscaping as part of a wider garden build. Whether the aim is low maintenance, wildlife value or year-round impact, we help create gardens that feel established, balanced and in keeping with their surroundings.
Courtyards & Outdoor Living Spaces
From compact courtyards to larger outdoor entertaining areas, we create outdoor spaces that are both practical and inviting. By combining paving, planting, structure and carefully chosen materials, we help turn underused areas into places that feel connected to the home and enjoyable to spend time in.
